CRF (Centro Ricerche Fiat) was established in 1978. As a focal point for research activities of FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), CRF has the mission to: develop and transfer innovative powertrains, vehicle systems and features, materials, processes and methodologies together with innovation expertise in order to improve the competitiveness of FCA products. Also through the cooperation with a pan-European network from industry and academia, CRF conducts collaborative research initiatives at the national and international levels in partnership with all the key public and private stakeholders concerned with sustainable mobility and automotive manufacturing, targeting specifically the industrial exploitation of research.

In NEWMAN, CRF is leading the activities related to  the final functional tests on prototypes (WP7)  and is involved in the selection of Ni-free powders and identification of processes parameters (WP3) and in the design of prototype, dies and tools (WP4)

In NEWMAN, Höganäs is leading the activities related to the selection of Ni-free powders and identification of processes parameters (WP3) and is involved in the actions to design and produce the prototypes (WP4 and WP5) and to define the heat treatment process (WP6)

University of Bologna is the coordinator of NEWMAN project. It is the responsible of the project management (WP1) and the definition of the Go to market strategy (WP0). It is also supporting the technical activities, by leading the WP6 (prototype heat treatment)

CRIT is a SME innovation company belonging to 26 large manufacturing and processing industries in Emilia-Romagna, including SCM, FIAT Group, ALSTOM, Tetra Pak. CRIT addresses services both to shareholders, mostly large companies, and to their suppliers, which are mostly SMEs. The aim of CRIT is to support enterprises in innovation and technology transfer by acting as a common ground for collaborative industrial research. In addition, CRIT acts as collective technological interface among industrial actors and Research centres throughout the world. Core activities of CRIT are: management and deployment of technology transfer projects; analysis and processes of mission critical information on specific technology fields or key-players; development of collaborative innovation activities aimed at quickly starting up the adoption of new technologies.

In NEWMAN, CRIT is leading the Communication and Dissemination activities (WP2) and is involved in the Go To Market Strategy (WP0)

Sinteris has more than 50 years of know-how in metal powder sintering technology and continuous staff training ensure extreme competence. Sinteris has its own product catalogues (rotors and pulleys) but it works also as service provider by optimizing the metal sintering process and producing the required components. 

In NEWMAN, Sinteris is leading  the activities related to the production of the prototypes and is involved in the Selection of Ni-free powders and identification of processes parameters (WP3), the design of the prototypes (WP4) and the testing of the prototypes (WP6)

Ghent University offers high-quality, research-based education in all academic disciplines. With a view to cooperation in research and scientific service, numerous research groups, centres and institutes have been founded over the years. The Sustainable Systems Engineering (STEN)  is a research group with focus on environmental and sustainability issues, using life cycle thinking and thermodynamics-based sustainability analysis, e.g., Exergy Analysis (EA), Exergetic Life Cycle Analysis (ELCA), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA).
